La Nature Morte
During my six-week stay in Paris and the South of France, I was drawn to the natural and vibrant aspects of the cuisine and produce found within the culture. In an effort to preserve maximum freshness, the people utilize the produce from the surrounding provinces.
I found beauty in the consumption, and used these objects as a symbol for the brevity of life, love and loss.
Taking advantage of the summer sun and natural light, I setup simple still lifes with my purchases from the street markets.
